The event will take place on 30 June 2023 in Hanoi.

The demand for tourism, entertainment and F&B in Vietnam is recovering very quickly, at a much higher rate than competitors in the region. This is a golden time for the HORECA businesses to accelerate recovery and growth.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of international tourists to Vietnam reached 5.574.969 arrivals. The total number of domestic tourists reached about 64 million. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 343,1 trillion VND. According to data from Google’s travel trend tracking tool, from the beginning of 2023 until now, the number of searches about Vietnam tourism has continuously increased in the top of the world, from 11th position to 6th position currently. Currently, it is growing in the group of 10 – 25%, ranking 6th in the world.

According to the Q1/2023 report of the General Statistics Office of Viet Nam, the industrial production index of the beverage industry is 27,3% higher than that of the first quarter of 2022, the industrial production index of the Vietnamese food industry in the first quarter of 2023 is 3,4% higher than the same period last year. In terms of Southeast Asia, the size of Vietnam’s F&B market in 2022 is at $26 billion, compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. According to Tatista, Vietnam’s beverage market revenue in 2023 will reach $27,121 billion, of which the Non-Alcoholic and Hot Drinks segments contribute the highest proportion (37,7% and 36,7%, respectively), and are also the two segments with the highest growth rate.

Also forecast by Statista, Vietnam’s food market in 2023 will reach $96,47 billion, up 9% compared to 2022, and the average annual growth rate in the period from 2023 to 2027 will reach about 8,22 %/year.

Vietnamese people are spending more and more on eating out (OOH). The largest group of OOH consumers are Gen Z (those born after 1995), estimated at 14,4 million. Despite having a monthly income of less than 87,2 Euro (~2.3 million VND), this group spends about 459 million Euro (~ 12,6 trillion VND) on food out each month and is the leader of the Vietnamese F&B industry.
